Bur Dubai is a historic area in Dubai located on the south side of the Dubai Creek. Bur Dubai is a popular place for tourists due to its proximity to the souks as well as many historic buildings. The area is also home to several mosques, including the well-known Grand Mosque.

1. Textile Souk
The Textile Souk is a one of a kind place in Dubai. The souk sells fabrics, clothes, footwear, souvenirs and more. This is the ideal place to find a unique gift. When buying goods, be sure to barter for the price. The souk is located close to two metro stations: the Al Fahidi Metro Station and the Al Ghubaiba Metro Station. The souk is also accessible from Deira via an abra boat.
2. Grand Mosque
The Grand Mosque in Bur Dubai has the tallest minaret out of any of the mosques in Dubai. It is a very historic place in Dubai since in the past it was used as a kuttab—a school for rote learning of the Quran. The mosque is located close to the Textile Souk.
3. Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood
This neighborhood in Dubai is a must see. It is home to some of the oldest buildings in Dubai. For example, the Dubai Museum is housed in the Al Fahidi Fort which was built in 1787. The closest metro station to the neighborhood is the Al Fahidi station.
4. Heritage Village
Located in the Al Shindagha neighborhood, this living museum displays the traditional way of life in Dubai. The closest metro station to the Heritage Village is the Al Ghubaiba Metro Station.
