Top beaches in Dubai
Jumeirah Beach Park
Located on Beach Road, this is one of the most popular beaches in Dubai. This beach has been awarded blue flag status, which is only given to the top beaches in Dubai. There is a beach area and a grass area to Jumeirah Beach Park making it the ideal place for a variety of activities like picnicking on the grass to swimming in the beautiful Arabian Gulf. On each end of the beach there is a café selling snacks and drinks. There are also barbecue areas, picnic tables and children’s play areas at Jumeirah Beach Park.
The cost for beach access is 5 AED/ 1.40 USD per person and 20 AED/5.50 USD per car.
Al Mamzar Beach
Al Mamzar is another beach that has been awarded blue flag status. This is one of the top rated beaches in Dubai and it includes many facilities like barbecue areas, a swimming pool and playgrounds. Sun chairs and umbrellas are available for rent here as well.
The cost for beach access if 5 AED/1.40 USD per person and 30 AED/ 8.20 USD per car.
As the name suggests, Kite Beach is a place where kite surfers congregate to enjoy a fun day at sea. This is a one of the sportier beaches in Dubai where you can see people kite surfing, paddle boarding or playing beach volleyball. Afternoons are the busiest time here, as the wind is usually the strongest then. If you get hungry be sure to stop at the food truck named Salt. There is no cost for this beach.
Marina beach is located in the Dubai Marina. Here you have nice views of the Dubai Marina and the Burj Al Arab. There are also many restaurants and hotels located nearby. Sun chairs and umbrellas are available for rent. There is no cost for this beach.
JBR Beach is another popular destination for both tourists and residents alike. The calm waters make this beach a great place for families with children. The beach is located just minutes from The Beach at JBR and The Walk at JBR making it easy to get to hotels, bars, lounges, restaurants and cafes in the area. There is no cost for this beach.
This beach is located next to Jumeirah Beach Park and offers stunning views of the Dubai skyline. It is located at the corner of Al Athar Road and Jumeirah Beach Road. There is no cost for this beach.
Jumeirah Open Beach
Formally known as Russian Beach, Jumeirah Open Beach is one of Dubai’s first public beaches. There are several shops located along the beach where you can top up on refreshments. The beach is also equipped with showers and public toilets. There is no cost for this beach.
This beach is popular among surfers. Feeling adventurous? Head over to Surf House Dubai to rent a surfboard for the day. This beach also has magnificent views of the Burj Al Arab. There is no cost for this beach.
Al Sufouh Beach
Al Sufouh Beach is often referred to as Secret Beach, since it is usually less crowded than the other beaches located nearby. The beach is pristine and a wonderful place to go for a run or a long walk. There is no cost for this beach.

Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa
This beach club includes three pools, water slides and private beach access. The pool has a swim up bar that offers a range of drinks, ice cream and snacks. There are also activities like waterskiing, banana boating and parasailing for a fee.
Day rates on Sunday-Thursday are 150 AED/ 41 USD and Friday-Saturday are 250 AED/ 68 USD.
The relaxed atmosphere at Cove Beach is the perfect way to spend a chilled out afternoon in Dubai. Cove Beach has a private beach and a restaurant with a glass front that offers authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
The cost of a beach mattress is 200 AED/ 54 USD per day. A single sunbed costs 300 AED/ 82 USD per day. A double sunbed costs 500 AED/ 136 USD per day.
Eden Beach Club
Eden Beach Club offers a sophisticated vibe. It is equipped with private cabanas, a long pool for cooling off and a swim up bar. In the evening, Eden transforms into a club with djs playing throughout the night.
The cost Sunday – Thursday is 100 AED/27 USD. The cost Friday – Saturday is 200 AED/ 54 USD.
Located at Atlantis The Palm, Nasimi Beach is the place for anyone looking to party during the day or at night. During the day you can relax in the private cabanas and at night you can dance the night away to sets by international DJs.
The cost varies on the weekdays and weekends:
Weekdays: The cost for sun loungers and sofas is a minimum of 150 AED/ 40 USD per person. The cost for private cabanas is 800 AED/ 218 USD.
Weekends: The cost for sun loungers and sofas is a minimum of 250 AED/ 41 USD per person. The cost for private cabanas is 1,000 AED/272 USD.
Riva Beach Club
Here you will find a stylish, laid back beach club equipped with pools and sun loungers. Take a swim in the pool before renting a paddleboard to explore the sea. This beach club has private beach access and offers many a la carte facilities.
A day pass Sunday – Thursday is 100 AED/27 USD for adults and 50 AED/ 14 USD for children under 16. A day pass Friday – Saturday is 175 AED/48 USD for adults and 85 AED/23 USD for children under 16.
One & Only Royal Mirage
The One & Only Royal Mirage is a beautiful beach club with a large pool and access to a private beach. Water sports are available here as well for an additional fee.
A day pass with a reservation is 300 AED/82 USD for adults and 225 AED/41 USD for children.
No trip to Dubai would be complete without a visit to Barasti. Live music and sport screenings are often hosted by Barasti. During the day it is great to relax by the beach and at night it is a place bustling with activity.
Barasti does not have an entrance fee, but can get busy especially on the weekends so be sure to get there early.
At Club Joumana you can enjoy private beach access and take a dip in three relaxing swimming pools. At this beach club you also have access to the sauna, Jacuzzi, gym, badminton and tennis courts as well.
The cost Sunday-Thursday is 180 AED/49 USD for adults and 90 AED/25 USD for children 5-12. The cost for Friday-Saturdays is 250 AED/ 68 USD for adults and 110 AED/30 USD for children.
Dubai beach dress code and rules
Many beaches in Dubai are private. These private beaches are usually owned up hotels and the majority of people at the beach are tourists and expatriates. Any style of beach wear here is normally acceptable; however nude or topless sunbathing is not allowed.
At the public beaches, many people will be dressed modestly. If you are a tourist, it is advised that you wear modest swimwear at the public beaches. Bikinis for women are allowed, but they should not be too revealing. For men, swim shorts are allowed but only at the beach area.
Once you leave the beach you must cover your body up, even if you are going to a beach restaurant located close by.
- Men should be advised that certain days at beaches are ladies day. No males are allowed on the beaches on these days.
- Alcohol is not allowed on the beaches.
- Do not litter.
- BBQ in the designated area of the beach only.
- Do not swim after sunset.
- Do not swim when the red flag is raised.
- Swim with caution when the yellow flag is raised.
- An adult must accompany children.
- No pets allowed on the beach.
- Photography is strictly prohibited. (This rule is strictly enforced.)
- Camping on the beach is not allowed.
- Swim wear should not be worn outside the beach area.
- Marketing and sales is not allowed in the park without permission.
