Despite being a desert, Dubai is home to several lush green parks thanks to Dubai Municipality. The parks are scattered throughout Dubai and are the perfect places for picnics, strolling, or just relaxing away from the buzz of the city. Below is a list of some of the most popular parks in Dubai.

Al Barsha Pond Park
Al Barsha Pond Park features a lake in the center of the park. There are play areas and restaurants at the park making it the perfect place for relaxing with family and friends. There is also a circular cycling and jogging park surrounding the 50 acres of greenery.

Al Mamzar Beach Park
Al Mamzar Beach Park features beaches and plenty of greenery. The park offers 6,000 kinds of cultivated green life. There are nearly 30 barbecue stations as well as areas for playing sports.
Entrance fee: 5 AED

Safa Park
Safa Park opened in 1975. The park is a favorite among locals and tourists. Many people come to Safa Park for picnics and to escape city life for a few hours.

Mushrif Park
Mushrif Park is located near Mirdif and features a natural ghaf (local tree) forest and is home to many different bird species. Arabian Babblers, Yellow Throated Sparrows, Rufous-tailed Robins and the rare Pallid Scops Owl can be seen at the park.

Zabeel Park
Zabeel Park offers plenty of places for barbecues as well as tracks for jogging and cycling. There is also a boating lake here, too. Smart Palm Trees line the park. These Smart Palm Trees are artificial trees that are solar powered and transmit free WiFi throughout the park.

Creekside Park
Creekside Park offers a lush, green park next to the famous Dubai Creek. There are many barbecue areas and grassy patches to relax on. The park also has play areas for children and a Creekside cable car.

Jumeirah Beach Park
Jumeirah Beach Park is another popular park due to its proximity to greenery and the beach. There are plenty of barbecue areas and places to picnic in the grass.
